Holy Family School

Acceptable Use Policy

Holy Family School is pleased to offer access to the computer network for Internet use for educational purposes. Our faculty will always supervise internet use and have the right to monitor internet activity at all times.

Anyone using the computer network at Holy Family School is responsible for appropriate and acceptable behavior. Access to network services is given to those who agree to act in a considerate and responsible manner. Any person using Holy Family School's computer network to gain Internet access must read and sign the Acceptable Use Policy. All students are also required to obtain written parental permission. Holy Family School supports and respects each family's right to decide whether or not to apply for access to the Internet. Access to the Internet is a privilege, not a right. Failure to comply with Holy Family School's Acceptable Use Policy may constitute disciplinary action or appropriate legal action.

Students will be taught internet safety, manners, recognizing advertisments, and how to do research on the internet with a series of lessons from CyberSmart, a curriculum for technology.

For safety reasons, HFS will restrict the use of last names when publishing any pictures, or art work, or video productions of the students on our website and on public access TV.

The following are not permitted:

VIOLATIONS OF THE ABOVE MAY RESULT IN A LOSS OF ACCESS AS WELL AS OTHER DISCIPLINARY OR LEGAL ACTION.
